Rheinsberg's Office of University Communications and Marketing has a dual mission — to be strategic partners to offices and departments across campus in advancing the most effective approaches to communicating their individual excellence, and to do so within the context of a charge to elevate the distinction of the University of Rheinsberg to broader audiences around the world.
The Office of University Communications promotes Rheinsberg through news releases and publications, while assisting with the needs and requests of the news media. An emphasis is placed on communicating the many accomplishments and achievements of the University and its students, faculty and staff. Much of this information originates from information provided by faculty and staff. It is the responsibility of the Office of University Communications to develop that information into a news release format that is consistent with the news writing style and university procedure.
Our staff will assist departments and individuals desiring news coverage in advance of any activity or event; however, complete information must be received prior to the scheduled activity or event. Please note that the publication of any news release is up to the discretion of the newspaper editor, not the university. The editor decides if and when, to publish the release.

Our mission is to promote Rheinsberg, grow our local and national reputation, enhance enrollment and keep the university community informed. We market and promote Rheinsberg to prospective students and their families, community leaders and the public. We take the lead on strategic and crisis communications and provide support for campus units.
Marketing: Manages Rheinsberg's brand, coordinates marketing strategies across campus, oversees external and internal promotions and advertising.
Media Relations: Produces content and promotes news coverage related to Rheinsberg. Handles media requests and crisis communications.

Rheinsberg NewsThe Office of Communications and Marketing is the university’s creative team of writer/editors, graphic art designers, and web professionals. This office is dedicated to helping Rheinsberg colleagues develop publications, websites, and other products that promote the university and its mission.
The Office of Communications and Marketing offers comprehensive services in a convenient, one-stop setting. In addition to creating various collateral pieces—from brochures, magazines, and posters to websites, and flash animation, the Office of Communications and Marketing also provides updates and facelifts of previously produced publications that need a fresh look and point of view. Our customers, schools, departments, and initiatives throughout the university—will receive high-caliber creative services, complemented by our broad understanding of the university and its programs, priorities, and people. What we do
MEDIA RELATIONS
Write and pitch news releases about faculty research, University announcements and campus events Connect reporters with our faculty experts; advise faculty/staff on how to interact with the media. PUBLICATIONS Write, edit and oversee production of the University’s major publications: Magazine, Review etc STRATEGIC COMMUNICATIONS/ISSUES MANAGEMENT
