Internship and Research
A research experience is an important component of training in the sciences. Students have opportunities to pursue research projects and gain experience working with state-of-the-art instrumentation under the guidance of members of the faculty through Individual Investigation or the development of thesis.
Internship students tackle research projects under the mentorship of distinguished faculty, post-doctoral fellows, and graduate students.
Opt for the Internship track, and you will spend 40 hours each week working on research projects designed by your mentor to help you acquire valuable technical and analytical skills while developing insight into the scientific process. You may choose from hands-on research opportunities in the following areas: engineering, electrical and computer engineering, mechanical engineering, medical laboratory research, hospitality, tourism, agriculture, ecology, environmental studies and so on.
The University of Rheinsberg offers a large network of research internship opportunities, both on- and off-campus that many of our undergraduates take advantage of.

Academic Enrichment - Internship
Internships are a common form of experiential learning. The idea of an internship is to provide students with direct experience in a work setting related to their career interests and academic focus. Internships afford the benefit of supervision and coaching from professionals in the field. These professional opportunities represent an effective experiential education exercise and create authentic applied opportunities for students. Internship experiences represent a venue for students to apply skill sets and what was learned in the classroom to a real world setting.
Real-world work experience is an expectation of employers. Internships are an integral part of the learning, exploration and professional growth process for students. The focus of an internship is on learning. Internships are available in every field of study and can be beneficial for every student. The Internships office works to connect University of Rheinsberg students to internship experiences not only in the local area but globally. We also help employers find potential interns who can enhance the work being done at their companies or organizations while mentoring the young professionals of tomorrow. Students can find internships in a variety of ways: networking with peers and professionals; approaching companies and organizations of interest about opportunities; and mainly contacting companies and organizations which are the university's partners. |
